Jason LaPrade has been my sound person at The Acoustic Harvest Folk Club and the Fiddles & Frets Music series for ten years. In all my years of listening to live music I haven't come across a better and more genuine technician. He truly delivers what his company advertises – Crystal Clear Sound. He has an amazing set of ears, always listening intently, with integrity, maturity and a commitment to bringing out and capturing the best possible sound from the musicians. He is astute and a master at subtleties and nuances.

These are some of the same skills that Jason applies to his own music. He is a top-notch dobro player and guitarist as well as a strong songwriter. He has finely honed his craft and has become a serious and eloquent musician.

I wanted to take a moment to express my
sincere thanks for the wonderful job you folks
did for us this year. You are both a joy to work
with. Most of the choir commented at one point
or another on the level of professionalism
evident from the crew. From the get-go the
whole show just fell together with ease and
efficiency. I guess having the right pieces;
Trevor (Mills), Paul (Mills), Grit (Laskin) and
yourselves was a dream-team. I am sure it was
a challenge meeting the demands of the choir,
accompanists, and guest artist. Just add a few
wireless mics and you have your hands full. I
hope you were as pleased with the results as
we were.

If anyone's touring through Ontario, ask for these folks ... the best situation is when you get a sound person who KNOWS (or better still, plays) acoustic music, has an ear, and knows that the highest possible volume without feedback is NOT the goal.
